Porsche Iberica, along with the experts at Style Porsche and Zuffenhausen’s Sonderwunsch Team, have unveiled the stunning 911 Cuarenta Edition to mark the 40th anniversary of the Iberian subsidiary. This limited-edition model is a Carrera GTS Coupe, featuring unique styling cues that hark back to its roots.
Alexander Fabig, the vice president of the Individualization and Classic department, explained that the Cuarenta Edition aims to create a 911 that a Spanish or Portuguese customer would have ordered 40 years ago, yet remains fashionable and desirable today. This retro-inspired special edition, with a hybrid twist, will be limited to just 40 units. Porsche Iberica will retain one, leaving only 39 available for customers, with deliveries beginning in October 2024.
The bespoke green paint color, named Quercusverde, is a creation of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, inspired by holm oak leaves. The anniversary badge features a hand-painted Quercus tree. The exterior includes black stone guards, aluminum and silver trim, and black wheels with silver accents. Interior features include a combination of Cohiba Brown and Truffle Brown leather, Tartan upholstery, and embossed details.
Under the hood, the 911 Cuarenta Edition houses a new 3.6-liter engine with an electrically-assisted turbo, paired exclusively with an eight-speed PDK from ZF Friedrichshafen AG, reflecting its hybrid nature. This special edition truly exemplifies Porsche’s dedication to timeless design and advanced technology.
This edition is rare and highly collectible due to its limited production and historical significance.
The car will be available in December 2024 and visible in Spain.
